I conduct research and teach in the fields of conservation biology, insect ecology, global climate change, and monarch butterfly population dynamics. I am especially interested in promoting a citizenry with a high degree of environmental and ecological literacy, and, to this end, conduct workshops for K-12 teachers and direct the Monarch Larva Monitoring Project.
